I was running by The Doctors Rest reserve yesterday It was odd that a Barn Owl was out hunting at Ten am so i watched closely. After a few minutes i was rewarded to see it drop onto some unseen prey. Oddly he stayed down for ages, when he came up i could see why. A heavy burden, a rat! Then i watched as he flew labouriously to our Owl nestbox, he is feeding either chicks or a female on eggs!!!
At last after seven years of effort i'm so excited!!
